SupportAssist also runs other automated tasks such as scan hardware, tune performance, optimize the network, and so on.SupportAssist automatically scans your computer, checks for driver updates, downloads, and installs the latest drivers (if available). In the SupportAssist window, click Start now.Click the SupportAssist app in the search results.Your Windows login account must have administrator privileges to download and install SupportAssist. If SupportAssist is not available, download and install the SupportAssist app. SupportAssist is available for Windows computers only. You have to start this exe at every startup (or your configuration won't change when you input a headset), so i recommand using task scheduler to do that. Once you're satisfied you can check the box to not display the popup again. The popup should now display, and you can apply a headset configuration so sound is optimised for headset. Even though it seems to do nothing, it will start a process in the background. Unplug it again, then start "C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64.exe". Now if you're in the same situation than me, when you plug in your mic, nothing happens and sound is still shitty (and headset mic is not used). Start Waves Max Audio Pro, and in the playback pane, advanced section, check the box, then exit. If it did, change the driver for the realtek audio to use the 8216 instead. Uninstall the realtek HD audio driver (using windows uninstall)Ĭheck in the device manager that Windows didn't install a more recent version of the drivers automatically. I've tried more recent version and it didn't work. It's the only version of the drivers that i could make it work with. koal82 from this post helped a lot but this time it was different :ĭownload the drivers v8216 ( ).

Maybe it will help some of you out there. I've spent a few hours looking for solution (and A LOT of people have issues with these audio drivers and Maxx Audio Pro) and here is what i did to solve the issue. Being used to it, i did the usual thing (remove the drivers, let windows reinstall its own, reboot, and everything works again). I rebooted a few days ago and found my sound distorded, muffled with too much bass when the headset is plugged in.
